I’m giving trumpet and flugelhorn lessons in the region of Bern. I’m offering private home lessons at your place, as well as lessons at my place in Worb (30 minutes from Bern via train or tram). The lessons can be either in German or English, depending on your preference. Every student who is interested in taking trumpet or flugelhorn lessons gets a free test lesson to see if my lessons fit your expectations. I’m always on the search how to structure and optimize my lessons to make progress during classes as well as keeping a relaxed learning environment. I offer lessons for children and teenagers, as well as for adults who are interested in picking up an instrument or already have experience playing. My lessons are open for beginners and intermediates, who want to learn the possibilities of their instrument and have first interactions with improvisation, music-theory and ear-training as well as for professionals, who want to dive deeper into the world of Jazz. For me, the most important aspects of teaching are trying to give the students the possibility to grow musically and most importantly to pass on the passion and joy that I feel whilst playing. I adapt the structure of my lessons based on the needs and wishes of each student. During my lessons I try to combine instrumental technique, improvisation, music-theory and ear-training based on the interest and the musical level of each student. Additionally I give a lot of weight on collective playing during the class, as I’m convinced that this way of learning enhances the inspiration and motivation of a student and prepares them for playing with other musicians.
